Everyone has a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of healthiness. Most governments have recognized the people's rights to life and liberty. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights says "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and...". The United States Declaration of Independence says "All men ... are endowed ... with certain unalienable rights, ... life, liberty and..."
Headaches are an extremely common complaint in our society, and are often treated with “quick fix” pain medication. In fact, over half a billion dollars is spent annually on this type of remedy. What is in these drugs and are they doing us more harm than good? Are there more effective and natural remedies we can use to alleviate headaches?
Patents are supposed to drive innovation. The profits that can arise from a patent are said to promote investment in R&D, design and technical improvement. Since the patent is a published document, others can keep up with the advance of the technology. Licensing the technology allows inventors to get their innovations manufactured and marketed. However, a company may acquire a patent simply to prevent it being exploited by its competitors. This may actually prevent innovation.
Plantain is one of the most common herbs found growing in North America. It can literally be seen growing out of the cracks of sidewalks and roads, found on the majority of homeowners lawns, cultivated or waste ground and even in places where there is little sun. Not only is this plant abundant everywhere, it is present for good reason. There is an old saying that plants grow where they are needed most. In the case of plantain, it is clear that this plant is greatly needed most.
Much of the produce that is sold today in supermarkets is supplied from farmers who practice conventional farming methods. In other words, the produce has been grown using chemical fertilizers as well as pesticides and herbicides. Many scientific studies suggest that the effects of synthetic pesticides can be detrimental to our health;one study suggests that the consumption of pesticides may lead to ADHD in children;in some other cases, exposure can lead to many forms of cancers.

Licorice has a rich and ancient history of use as a medicine, being rooted in Indian, Chinese, Greek and Egyptian traditions, alike. Technically a legume, related to beans and peas, its sweetness results from the presence of glycyrrhizin, a compound 30-50 times sweeter than sugar. This compound is what gave licorice its name, which derives from the Greek word γλυκύρριζα (glukurrhiza), meaning "sweet” (gluku) “root” (rrhiza).

There is a difference between someone who is unhealthy and someone who is sick. Part of that difference is the viewpoint, from which we look. When we look from a medical viewpoint - we tend to find illness. When we look from a healthicine view point - we are more able to see and understand healthiness and unhealthiness. Medicine is defined, by Wikipedia, as 'the science and art of healing'. The body heals.

Known as NutraSweet or Equal, Aspartame, is an artificial sweetener, and is 180 times as sweet as sugar. Present in over 6000 products, Aspartame itself does not occur naturally. It was discovered in 1965 and approved by the FDA in 1981. Many researchers have linked a host of health problems, including brain diseases, migraines and neurological ailments to Aspartame.

“The Healer's Grail” and “Healer's Toolbox” outlined the electrochemical foundations of biology and a few of the simple substances used to maintain a balance favoring electron and oxygen abundance (a handy way to define health). There is little need to track down discreet biochemical mechanisms when protons and electrons and simple molecules like H2O, bicarbonate and magnesium determine the energetic profile of the “Inner Ocean.”

Flaxseed has remarkable therapeutic properties, with over 50 potential applications in the prevention and treatment of disease, as documented in the peer-reviewed biomedical literature itself* Flaxseed's role in breast cancer is one of the more compelling areas of research, considering this is the #1 form of cancer afflicting women today, and that most women still equate "prevention" with subjecting themselves to annual breast screenings involving highly carcinogenic 30 kVp...

While ubiquitous in nature, melanin, which provides the coloring found in hair, skin, eyes, feathers, scales, etc., is an especially important substance as far as the human condition is concerned. Melanin’s role in determining skin color makes it the primary physiological basis for racial differentiation among humans; in fact, entire civilizations have arisen and fallen due to perceptions and misperceptions concerning its nature and signification.

Why would tens of thousands suffer from odd symptoms of fibers, and worm like debris sprouting from skin sores, and other symptoms, without knowing the cause? Unexplained constellations of symptoms from general fatigue, concentration difficulties, fibromyalgia, neurocognitive disorders, and skin lesions seem are continuously reported.
About 170 years ago our ancestors forced the repeal of licensing laws which had created a monopoly over the practice of medicine for orthodox physicians. Ordinary people, farmers, artisans, tradesmen and others got together and forced politicians to act on their behalf. They were tired of bloodletting, and harsh medications like mercury compounds that ruined their teeth and weakened their bodies.

Some of the most powerful medicines provided to us are actually in our kitchen cupboard, “pretending” to be condiments, spices or foods. Some we are too familiar with to readily recognize them for their astounding health benefits, even though we may be consuming them daily

Disturbingly, some hospitals have even rejected a medical doctor’s recommendation that an employee not be vaccinated. The best long-term solution, then, may be for all concerned to become legislatively active, for us to educate our representatives about the true risks and failings of vaccines and the many better and safer means of addressing infectious disease concerns.

When it comes to health care, Western medicine has always taught its patients that they are victims of their genes. They truly believe that within their family history lies their fate. They tell us that if our grandfather had heart disease and our father had a heart attack, then our fate is sealed and we are set up to be an unavoidable victim. We are told that disease is something you’re stricken with, not something you develop or create on your own or lifestyle induced. This victim mentality ha

Parents who exercise a vaccine exemption for their children are often ridiculed for putting their own children and others at risk. However, legally and medically, unvaccinated children do not pose a significant health risk to themselves or anyone else. Alternative vaccine views support this assertion, but the reasoning in this article comes straight from mainstream vaccine beliefs, accepted medical practice and current law.

Wheat could be driving more than your digestive system crazy. While wheat is well known to wreak havoc on the gastrointestinal health of genetically susceptible folks, such as those with celiac disease, and more recently, irritable bowel syndrome, new research published in the journal Psychiatry Research indicates that sensitivity to one of the components in wheat known as gliadin could be driving some into states of acute mania.

It’s fall in the northern hemisphere and more than one type of darkness has set in. Vaccines are being injected at lightning speed. New vaccines, untested vaccines, double-strength flu vaccines for the over 65 group; none of which have been shown to be effective at keeping anyone healthy. The naïve are lining up at clinics, shopping malls, and retail stores. They don’t know which kind of vaccine they will receive. Which manufacturer is it? Does it have mercury? What chemicals does it contain?
There are myriad ways to deal with imbalances that lead to altered bacterial and fungal balance in the body such as urinary tract infections, chronic diarrhea, sinusitis and just about all seeming infections. Often the cure does not happen overnight like the apparent effect of an antibiotic, but with the approach of strengthening the whole body, the infection will retreat on its own. This approach often takes discipline and willingness to give up addictive habits.

New research indicates that the microbial biodiversity of the soil and our food is being dramatically impacted by the use of herbicides like glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller. Researchers have proposed that many soil organisms, which are indispensable for the productivity of the soil in agriculture, as well as in raw and fermented dairy production, may be undergoing endangerment, if not also in some cases extinction in certain geographic regions of the world.

Unbeknownst to most doctors, the polio-vaccine history involves a massive public health service makeover during an era when a live, deadly strain of poliovirus infected the Salk polio vaccines, and paralyzed hundreds of children and their contacts. These were the vaccines that were supposedly responsible for the decline in polio from 1955 to 1961! But there is a more sinister reason for the “decline” in polio during those years; in 1955, a very creative re-definition of poliovirus infections wa

END OF VACCINE EXEMPTIONS IN CALIFORNIA? Didn't take much of a fortune teller to predict the attack on the philosophical vaccine exemption in California, which I did in the April 2011 Newsletter . But it's here, right now in California. A week ago Bill AB2109 was proposed...
If you think that a vaccinated person cannot get whooping cough, in the most severe manner, think again. Most babies over the age of 6 months who get whooping cough are fully and “appropriately” vaccinated. Pertussis is admittedly, even by the vaccine enthusiasts, primarily spread by vaccinated children, adolescents and adults, who have inadequate immunity.

Modern science is beginning to vindicate the ancient wisdom of our palates … Butter, for instance, and without which - some argue - French cuisine would not be possible, contains a heavy concentration of saturated fats (the dietetic equivalent of a four letter word!), and also contains a trans-fatty acid known as vaccenic acid, that - get this! - lowers blood cholesterol levels, triglycerides and exhibits heart-protective properties.

According to the FDA's legal definition, a drug is anything that “diagnoses, cures, mitigates, treats, or prevents a disease.” The problem with this definition is that there are numerous substances, as readily available and benign as found on our spice racks, which have been proven by countless millennia of human experience to mitigate, prevent and in some cases cure disease, and which cannot be called drugs according to the FDA.
