Today we are faced with a plethora of "unusual" emerging illnesses sometimes causing practitioners to scratch their heads, bewildered. For example, the illness now termed "winter vomiting disease," has been seen globally. How about digestive disorders on the rise? You've heard a lot about aspartame by now, the synthetic sweetener found in many diet soft drinks, thousands of foods and supplements. Indeed, its cancer-causing potential was recently discussed in the GreenMedInfo article: Aspartame: Putting the Die into Dieting since 1981. But when you realize that aspartame is produced from the excreta of GM bacteria (E. Coli) ... it makes an already controversial product seem much less healthy.  The original patent is now available for the public to read online. It states that genetically cloned modified E. Coli are cultivated in tanks and fed so that they can excrete the proteins that contain the aspartic acid-phenylalanine amino acid segment used to make aspartame. These 'fecal' proteins are then treated with highly toxic methanol (wood alcohol) to produce the artificial sweetener.

The artificial sweetener aspartame, a dipeptide with the formula Asp-Phe-me, is produced using a cloned micrcorganism. A DNA which codes for a large stable peptide comprised of the repeating amino acid sequence (Asp-Phe)n is inserted into a cloning vehicle which in turn is introduced into a suitable host microorganism. The host microorganism is cultured and the large peptide containing the repeating Asp-Phe sequence is harvested therefrom. The free carboxyl group of the large peptide is benzylated and then hydrolysed to benzyl Asp-Phe dipeptides. This dipeptide is methylated and then debenzylated to form aspartame."

Using the metabolic waste products ('fecal' matter) of bacteria without telling the public is a bit disgusting, really, when you think about it.  According to a 1999 article published in The Independent, titled "Worlds top sweetener is made with GM bacteria,' this sweetener was a byproduct of a 'secret' genetic engineering process swept under the human safety rug.

The genetic engineering of foods has been around for a while it seems. Searle, the original maker of aspartame, kept its production methods a secret, insisting that their product was 'safe'. Despite an article published in 1975 by the Washington Post, (May 14th, Marian Burros) called: "Aspartame Sweetener and Liver Damage".  At that time, the manufacturer was G.D. Searle and it was known from the beginning that aspartame causes liver damage. Since then, there have been a growing body of studies that have demonstrated that aspartame is a highly toxic chemical affecting the brain, optic nerve, immune and central nervous system, cancer, and damage to the liver.   

Historically aspartame was never proven safe (where are the studies?), yet was marketed through the political skills of Donald Rumsfeld, who happened to work for Searle, before Monsanto got involved with aspartame. Study after study looked at the damaging effects of aspartame especially from accumulative ingestion. In 2007, Dr. Morando Soffritti proved that a low dosage of aspartame causes cancer. Later in an article published in 2010 in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine, it was concluded that aspartame induces cancers of the liver and lungs...in male Swiss mice.

Do you wonder why films such as "World War Z", "Walking Dead," "I am Legend," or even the 'tongue and cheek' marketing campaigns focus on 'zombie apocalypse warnings'? Is it just for your entertainment and giggles?  After all, we know that zombies do not exist. Why then, would 'zombie apocalypse' be among Google's most popular search?  A few years ago, it was the blood sucking vampires, which are still quite popular. Are we being psychologically conditioned to accept human changes, such as cannibalism, or 'transhumanism'  as evolution? 

We are living in the oddest of times. Our society is on the brink of so many simultaneous modifications. For example, we read about scorpion venom inserted into cabbage (to kill bugs), eel genes inserted into salmon (for profitable growth enhancement), bizarre animal parts surgically placed in humans, or micro machines drifting inside our cells.  What are we doing as a species and what can you do to remain intact?

First, recognize that today, our air, food and water, and even personal thoughts, are being modified, either intentionally, or accidently. The facts remain, and the research indicates that there are serious die off's and tragic poisonings globally. Most people assume this is solely due to 'climate change' as we have been told by experts.  We have to pay for the damage.  

When you see new droughts, dying trees, bee colony collapse, birds falling out of the sky, etc. yes, of course we can say,'all related to climate change' ... and  go back to our TV and popcorn .... (non GMO, organic?). But, when your pet, or your loved one gets ill, and you watch the hideous unfold, 'climate change' takes on a new meaning. 

We still live in a time, when you can search for yourself, and learn of the horrors that potentially face us.  Learning how to survive could be critical, and begins with information.  Take a  look at our recent human history.  Movies from the  1950's and 1960's do not show obese people, glorified zombies, or cute vampires. People ate naturally grown food, not like today's toxic slew of pills, vaccines, and processed 'convenience' food. Water was drilled, and wells provided mineralized nutrition. Today, much of the water is injected with too many things to mention here. Check out geo-engineering, and learn about how everything is connected. Needles to say, water, air, soil, food is not what it used to be. But there are still things you can do to thrive.

We are creatures of habit. Lets face it. We buy our snacks in fancy packages, and enjoy the carefully engineered delicious food, without thinking about it. Perhaps it is time to start connecting some dots.

In 1996, genetically modified (GM) crops entered human food and animal feed in increasing amounts after being commercially released into USA fields. The main products were corn and soy. In addition to those modified crops, and many others since then, GM mosquitoes have also been introduced into the ecosystem, without the consent of the people.

A recent study published in the peer reviewed Journal of Organic Systems demonstrated that Pigs fed a GMO diet showed a higher rate of severe stomach inflammation than pigs fed a comparable non GMO diet.This finding was a result of a long-term toxicology study on pigs that were fed a combination of soy and GM maize (both genetically modified). Dr. Judy Carman, from the Institute of Health and Environmental Research, Australia led the study.

The significance of this 23 week study is that it reveals biological evidence linking GMO crops to significant harm. It showed that there was a 267% increase in stomach inflammation compared to the non GMO diets for the participating pigs. Surprisingly, males had an even higher increase (400%). 168 young pigs were involved in this study.

Today, we see horrific manifestations of a sick society with zombie-like heartless acts of violence. (Morgellons is the strange manifestation of unusual fibers seen in skin lesions that itch, and appear to 'move'. People with the affliction describe a crawling stinging sensation, just under the skin. They also suffer from brain fog, and depression and other debilitations). Lyme Disease manifests as plethora of symptoms, often misdiagnosed. And GMO (genetically modified) foods are sneaking into our food sources without our knowledge or consent. The studies more often than not question the safety of ingesting the tampered engineered foods.

We are in desperate times and many people are completely oblivious to the fact.  Rats that eat GMO food have been shown to grow deadly tumors. Our water is often tainted with plastic leaching BPA, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and other toxins - not to mention the intentional injection of mind-numbing fluoride into our drinking water 'for our teeth.'  Barium salts, and aluminum have been documented as aerosols sprayed into the atmosphere for mysterious reasons which range from communication enhancements, to weather control, and, what is often termed "conspiracies.'

Our air, food, and water appear to be tainted with poisons putting public health at risk. But, this is getting creepier every minute. Today with the accelerating exponential growth in technology, so called experts, are experimenting with Frankenstein-like potions to be sold to an uninformed public. New vaccines combining technology with genetic engineering are being designed and approved today, for quicker-greater yield. Such is the case with the soon to be flu shots, for example.

Influenza is nasty, there is no question. However, it changes yearly, so it is difficult to predict the exact antigens needed for the vaccine to be effective. This year was no exception as stated by experts. They have said that the vaccine did not work very effectively for seniors over 65 this year, although appeared to provide some protection among the young.

Most milk substitutes such as soy milk, almond milk, hemp milk, etc. are thought to be good alternatives to whole milk, especially for lactose intolerant people. These 'milks' come in different flavors, and their packaging gives us the distinct impression that drinking alternative milks promises to create lasting health. Milk alternatives even taste divine. However, some of them contain carrageenan, used as a US food additive since the late 1930's.
 
Yet, starting in the 1960s, carrageenan became controversial, but very few people mention the potential consequence of ingesting them.

The dairy industry has lost market share due to perceived healthier drinks such as 'rice', 'soy' or 'almond' milk, etc. So they hatched an idea. Why not create 'diet' milk products, adding aspartame, and selling it to children as a 'healthy' diet drink. That's right. Putting aspartame in milk to 'reduce' caloric intake, for healthier, less obese children.

Tasty flavored milk could be created to win back some of the market share, and since many want to reduce obesity, while adding professed nutrition, this could work to increase profits. Sounds good, doesn't it? Instead of sodas, people could consume an entire line of exotic new sweet milks, sour creams, made for less money.

Prevention is the key to avoiding illness, especially this winter. You've heard it over and over. Get a flu shot. But this year there are some new emerging virulent microbes, causing intense sickness and fear. The new viruses or variations have no magic bullets offering escape. For instance, there are new influenza strains that were not included in this year's flu vaccine.  

Of growing concern is the recently new morphed 'norovirus', which is spreading like lightening, and is extremely contagious. Hospitals are being overwhelmed with critically ill patients. Symptoms from this norovirus can be severe, leading to dehydration, and life threatening complications. The norovirus is being referred to as the 'winter' vomiting disease, or stomach flu, although it is not technically influenza, AKA flu. It is easier to catch the norovirus than influenza.

Unlike the influenza (flu) virus, that is spread by inhaling air droplets from coughing or sneezing, norovirus lives on surfaces for many weeks.  Imagine, everything your hand touches, can potentially carry norovirus, long after those it has infected are gone. Within hours, violent sickness can emerge.
